UC ACCORD Releases an Online Public Policy Series
As part of UC ACCORD’s commitment to making education research accessible to policy makers, educators, and the community, we are releasing our 2004 Public Policy Series. This series of succinct memos, authored by ACCORD scholars, report on research that is relevant to policy discussions about equitable schooling and access to higher education. Throughout the year, we will release new briefs that draw on the breadth of work funded by UC ACCORD.
This month’s Public Policy Series includes:
“How Schools Can Shape Peer Relations to Promote Achievement Among Mexican-Origin Youth”
Margaret A. Gibson, UC Santa Cruz, Patricia Gándara, UC Davis, and Jill Peterson Koyama, Teachers College, Columbia University
“School Integration and Residential Segregation in California: Challenges for Racial Equity”
Jordan Rickles, Paul M. Ong, and Doug Houston, UCLA
“Closing the Racial Achievement Gap in Diverse California High Schools”
Jean Yonemura Wing, UC Berkeley
